Feeding Ducks

Floyd Lamb Park started having a farmers market the 1st and 3rd weekend of every month. We decided to go last weekend to check it out and then feed the ducks. The farmers market was really cool they had a lot of different stuff. I bought fresh picked tomatoes 7 for a $1.00. They were so yummy! In fact Brian, who has never been a huge fan of tomatoes, ate a few like they were apples! When I told my mom about them, she reminded me that when I was about 2 years old I would wander off into her garden with a salt shaker and sit and eat tomatoes whole. I have loved them ever since!

After walking through the market we walked over to the ducks, we brought a bag of bagels and started to tear off pieces to feed the ducks. Now let me just say that these ducks are like Costco size! They are huge! Just as tall as Kambree, so when they noticed we had bread they came over as fast as they could and swarmed us. Kaden was sitting in the stroller and no joke, 15 seconds in he was screaming in terror! Kambree freaked out, I had to pick her up. These ducks were insane! They were quacking so loud and they were so close it freaked both Brian and I out! It got to the point to where we were throwing whole bagels as far as I could to get these ginormous ducks away from us! Right as we got rid of our bread another boy came walking to the ducks so they started following him, it was so funny watching him cause there were so many ducks they just started chasing him, he started tearing off pieces of his bread as fast as he could until he finally threw down the whole piece and ran away as fast as he could! After we got rid of our bread I was able to take a few pics of them. They don't look scary, but I promise they were! I don't think we will go back to feed these ducks. Once we got in the car and left Kamrbee said "I don't like to feed ducks!" Poor girl was terrified!

Poor Kambree! After her traumatic experience she only wanted to ride in the stroller!

Those ducks really are the worst! My kids hate them too. And good to know about the farmers market!
