4 years!

Our anniversary was on July 6th. I can't believe that it has been 4 years since Brian and I got married! With 2 kids time sure does fly! This year we didn't plan anything because so much time and money is being put into our house. Since Brian works during the day, Sam and I take turns going to the new house to do work. Sam took the morning shift that day so Brian and I can go work at the house together for our anniversary painting date while she watched the kids. When we walked in the kitchen there was a little anniversary surprise that Sam left for us! She is so thoughtful and always thinking of others!
Thanks Sam! We love you!

Brian-
I love you so much! We are so perfect together! I am so grateful for all the hard work that you do for me and the kids. You ALWAYS make me laugh and smile! There are still times when I look at you and get butterflies! Watching you with Kambree and Kaden just melts my heart! They love you so much. This has been the best 4 years of my life and I can't wait to see what the future holds for us. I love you B! Happy Anniversary!
Love, Katie

4th of July

A long time ago when I was still in high school we stayed in Vegas for the 4th of July and went to the parade in Boulder City. I will never forget that 4th of July because that is the year we swore that we would never miss a Utah 4th of July ever again. The parade sucked, it was so miserably hot, we all got sunburned and a couple of us got heat stroke. We were all miserable! So this year when we were talking about staying here in Vegas for the 4th I got so sad because the 4th of July is my favorite Holiday and I thought it was going to end up like the one we spent in Boulder City. Luckily... It went much better than I thought! :)

We started with the parade in Summerlin. It was a million times better than the one we saw in Boulder years ago. Plus, it was overcast... no sunburn for me! It was still hot, but much better than having the blazing sun! Our friends Danny and Jessica and Chris and Karen joined us at the parade. It was lots of fun!

Kaden didn't like the fire truck sirens!

I tried to take a picture of Ryan and Kambree but they were to interested in the parade. Maybe Karen got some good ones.

Mmmmm... watermelon!

After the parade we had a BBQ at Brian's parents and did a lot of swimming. (sorry no pics, I hate it when that happens!) Once it got dark we went to the new house to watch the fireworks over the whole city from our balcony! It was so cool! We have the best view! Kambree was scared of the fireworks and quickly fell asleep. Then we lit the fireworks Brian got from the Indian reservation. Even though we didn't go to the Stadium of Fire and spend time with our family in Utah, I still really enjoyed spending the day with our friends and our family here in Vegas. It was a great day!

Welcome Home!

Sam is home! It has been so crazy lately that I haven't had time to post about it. She came home on June 23rd. So glad she is back! It is nice to talk to her in person and not just in e-mail! WELCOME HOME SAM! P.S. You can see pictures from when she left here.

Finally!

We finally closed on our house! It was a long 3 month process but it is finally ours! We have a lot of work and a lot of painting to do. Our plans are to move in this next weekend. Can't wait!
