Picnic

This weather has been so amazing! My allergies have been out of control, but I still love it! The past couple weeks the kids have been outside non stop. They go out there first thing in the morning with their jammies on and I have to beg them to come in and eat breakfast then again later for lunch. I was getting tired of begging them to come inside and eat so I finally just brought Kambree's little table outside and let them have picnics. They love it, and Kambree actually eats her food while she is out there!

A few things...

first- It is the weirdest thing to see kids, that I used to babysit when I was in high school, at the store with all their friends, or with their boyfriend or girlfriend, and driving cars! Where did the time go? I feel like I am still in my early 20's but whenever I see kids that I used to babysit, it reminds me that I am only a few years away from being in my 30's! Ugh! I feel so old!

second- Why can't my clothes be as cheap as my kids?? At Old Navy today I bought 2 shirts for Kaden, 2 shirts and a pair of shoes for Kambree, and I only spend $26.00. I bought a shirt for me at the same place a few weeks ago that cost $29.00! Just one shirt! I spent less on them and got more. I know it takes less fabric for kids clothes, but seriously... not fair!

third- (last one I promise!) Tonight is daylight savings! I HATE "spring ahead!". I would much rather it be "fall back" every time) Seriously though, tomorrow is going to be a big joke trying to get to church on time! In January our ward moved to 9:00 am and I think that we have been on time maybe 3 times, (on time for us means anytime before they shut the doors for the sacrament! Sad I know!) every other time we are sitting out in the foyer taking the sacrament! Ugh! Maybe I should stop complaining about things and got to bed so we can again attempt to be on time for church. Wish us luck!

Girls

Mom: Kambree please pick up your toys. Kambree: No Mom, I am a girl and girls don't pick up toys. Kaden is a boy, he can do it! Mom:....speechless..... trying not to laugh.

Fun with Daddy

Brian was cleaing up the kitchen (such a good husband, I know!) and he called Kambree over. A couple minutes later Kambree came over to me with this paper bag on her head. He does the most random things sometimes! Kambree loves it!

UNLV

On Saturday we went to the final game of the season.

We already can't wait till next year!

CTR Pretzel Recipe

Here is the recipe for the CTR pretzels. We dipped ours in spaghetti sauce from a jar and some ranch. Sorry I didn't post sooner! Enjoy!

CTR Pretzels

1 teaspoon salt
2½–3 cups flour
1 tablespoon yeast
1 cup warm water
1 tablespoon sugar
melted butter

1. Mix the first five ingredients until they form a ball. Then knead dough until smooth and elastic. Cover with a clean towel and let rise in a warm place for one hour.

2. Pull off sections of the dough and roll into long ropes. Form the ropes into the letters “CTR” or make the shape of the CTR shield.

3. Put the pretzels on a greased cookie sheet and bake 8–10 minutes at 450°F (232°C). Brush pretzels with melted butter.
