Kaden's Hair Cut

On Fathers Day Brian gave Kaden his first real hair cut! Kaden hated it! The second Brian would turn on the clippers Kaden would start to cry and when Brian turned them off he would stop crying. It was a little bit of a battle but well worth it! He looks so handsome now!

Happy Fathers Day!

I am so lucky to have such an amazing father for my children! They love him so much and there is nothing I love more than to watch Brian play with Kambree and Kaden, they get so silly! I love when Kambree runs to the front door and yells "Daddy" every time he walks in from work. He is so fun and exciting to be around he is constantly making me laugh. The 3 of us love him so much and we are all so lucky to have a hard working husband-father. He does so much for our family and works so hard to make sure the kids and I are happy. We love you Brian!!

For Fathers Day Kambree and I gave Brian breakfast in bed. We made him crepes with the most delicious cinnamon roll sauce.... so yummy! Click here for the recipe! When we were walking into the room to wake him I told Kambree to tell him Happy Fathers Day and when we walked in she yells to him "I have a Father!" Silly Girl!

For dinner we went to Brian's parents and ate steak, potatoes, salad, and for dessert cherry cheesecake. Mmmm, the food was so yummy! It was such a good day. I am so grateful for my husband, father, step-father, father-in-law, and all the grandfathers in my life. I am one lucky girl!

hmmm...

Not sure what to title this one... this is why I don't let her pick out her clothes for the day :)

In these next pictures she is pretending to paint a piece of furniture with her little perfume bottle. She was even making a spraying sound! She makes me giggle! I love this girl!

Grandpa Nickle

My Dad came to town. We don't get to see him often so we love when he gets to stop in Vegas. While he was here we had lots of Cafe Rio since they don't have one in Alaska. We also took him to see the new house and to Bass Pro Shop. Kambree loves to go to Bass Pro Shop to see the fishies! Grandpa bought lots of new clothes and hats for the kids, including a pair of camo overalls for Kaden. When I showed Brian the overalls he said "We are going to lose Kaden in the grass when he wears them" :) It was so good to see Grandpa Nickle! Thanks Dad!

Big Girl!

Recently Kambree has been wanting to do everything all by herself... who am I kidding... this is not just a recent thing, it has been going on since she started walking and talking. Anyways, a couple days ago she wanted to get dressed all by herself. This was the outcome...

Memorial Day

We spent Memorial Day at Brian's parents. Lots of good food and lots of swimming. I only took a couple pictures... I hate when I do that!

He loved this bone from a rib. mmm so yummy!

This was his first time on grass. He wasn't sure what to think.

"Kitchens"

Posting late, but on May 21 was (stay with me here) Brian's cousins wife's birthday. Does that make sense? It was Samantha Armstrong's birthday! They had a little family party for her at Kelly and Connie's house (Brian's Uncle and Aunt) They just built a chicken coupe in the backyard. In Peru where Samantha is from they eat duck eggs. So they had little baby chickens and ducks. Did you know that you can buy a baby chick for 2 bucks? I had no idea! Anyways, Kambree liked the ducks but kept her distance. Kaden on the other hand loved them. He tried and tried to grab them.

Kambree loved to watch the chickens (cause they were in a cage!) She calls them "kitchens". So cute! We had some yummy food, a few people went swimming, then we had some yummy ice cream cake. Happy Birthday Samantha!!

Where's Kaden?

My little guy started crawling a couple weeks ago, and he loves to explore! I found him under a table. Cute little guy!

Update

Oh my goodness these last few weeks have been crazy!

ONE-Amanda moved back to "Fornia" aka California. I miss the help and my crafting buddy! Kambree misses her too. She has been walking around saying "where's Manda? She in fornia?" The whole family misses her and hopes she is doing well.
TWO-Brian and I are both emotionally and physically drained! We have been going through boxes like crazy! For the past 2 years we have been living with only the things we need. Most our stuff has been in boxes. I don't even know what we own anymore. We are creating quite the garage sale pile! Can't wait to get rid of a lot of junk we have been toting around for a few years. This will be our 7th move since we have been married. I am excited this will be our last for a long time!
Seriously buying a house has to be one of the most stressful things we have ever done, and we are not even done yet. So many people have told us it was stressful but we had no idea. Everything has to be perfect, and things are so up and down. I have spent so much time crying. The banks are so strict because of this economy. I can't wait till this is all done!
THREE- Kaden is crawling! Yikes! He is all over this house! I was hoping he wouldn't start till after the move, he is sure making things difficult! :) He is the cutest little guy and he is getting so big! :( He loves his sister so much, I love to watch them play together.
FOUR- Kambree is quite the helper! She helps me cook, do dishes, and keep Kaden busy and happy. She loves her brother and he is the first person she asks for when she wakes up in the morning, I find her sharing her ice cream and yogurt with him all the time. She loves to feed him. In fact the other day I was making dinner and without me noticing she grabbed half a lemon off the counter and was giving him the juice to the lemon. She yells "look Mom, he likes it!" Poor guy!
FIVE- Sam has 23 more days till she comes home from her mission!! I have been counting down for a long time!! I can't wait to see her!

That's it for now. It took me about 2 hours to write just this much because I have so many calls from Brian, the realtor, mortgage company, and of coarse these kids are keeping me busy. If I find more time later on I will post some pictures.

Play Dough!

Today we made play dough! Here's the recipe I used...

Ingredients:

2 cups of plain flour

2 cups of water

1 Tbsp. of cooking oil

1 Tbsp. cream of tartar

1 cup of salt

Directions:Place all of the ingredients in a medium size or large pan. Cook slowly on medium and stir it until the playdough thickens. Keeps best in the fridge in plastic containers. This is simular to the traditional playdough recipe.
This recipe takes less than 10 minutes.
