Memorial Day

We spent Memorial Day at Brian's parents. Lots of good food and lots of swimming. I only took a couple pictures... I hate when I do that!

He loved this bone from a rib. mmm so yummy!

This was his first time on grass. He wasn't sure what to think.

"Kitchens"

Posting late, but on May 21 was (stay with me here) Brian's cousins wife's birthday. Does that make sense? It was Samantha Armstrong's birthday! They had a little family party for her at Kelly and Connie's house (Brian's Uncle and Aunt) They just built a chicken coupe in the backyard. In Peru where Samantha is from they eat duck eggs. So they had little baby chickens and ducks. Did you know that you can buy a baby chick for 2 bucks? I had no idea! Anyways, Kambree liked the ducks but kept her distance. Kaden on the other hand loved them. He tried and tried to grab them.

Kambree loved to watch the chickens (cause they were in a cage!) She calls them "kitchens". So cute! We had some yummy food, a few people went swimming, then we had some yummy ice cream cake. Happy Birthday Samantha!!

Where's Kaden?

My little guy started crawling a couple weeks ago, and he loves to explore! I found him under a table. Cute little guy!

Update

Oh my goodness these last few weeks have been crazy!

ONE-Amanda moved back to "Fornia" aka California. I miss the help and my crafting buddy! Kambree misses her too. She has been walking around saying "where's Manda? She in fornia?" The whole family misses her and hopes she is doing well.
TWO-Brian and I are both emotionally and physically drained! We have been going through boxes like crazy! For the past 2 years we have been living with only the things we need. Most our stuff has been in boxes. I don't even know what we own anymore. We are creating quite the garage sale pile! Can't wait to get rid of a lot of junk we have been toting around for a few years. This will be our 7th move since we have been married. I am excited this will be our last for a long time!
Seriously buying a house has to be one of the most stressful things we have ever done, and we are not even done yet. So many people have told us it was stressful but we had no idea. Everything has to be perfect, and things are so up and down. I have spent so much time crying. The banks are so strict because of this economy. I can't wait till this is all done!
THREE- Kaden is crawling! Yikes! He is all over this house! I was hoping he wouldn't start till after the move, he is sure making things difficult! :) He is the cutest little guy and he is getting so big! :( He loves his sister so much, I love to watch them play together.
FOUR- Kambree is quite the helper! She helps me cook, do dishes, and keep Kaden busy and happy. She loves her brother and he is the first person she asks for when she wakes up in the morning, I find her sharing her ice cream and yogurt with him all the time. She loves to feed him. In fact the other day I was making dinner and without me noticing she grabbed half a lemon off the counter and was giving him the juice to the lemon. She yells "look Mom, he likes it!" Poor guy!
FIVE- Sam has 23 more days till she comes home from her mission!! I have been counting down for a long time!! I can't wait to see her!

That's it for now. It took me about 2 hours to write just this much because I have so many calls from Brian, the realtor, mortgage company, and of coarse these kids are keeping me busy. If I find more time later on I will post some pictures.

Play Dough!

Today we made play dough! Here's the recipe I used...

Ingredients:

2 cups of plain flour

2 cups of water

1 Tbsp. of cooking oil

1 Tbsp. cream of tartar

1 cup of salt

Directions:Place all of the ingredients in a medium size or large pan. Cook slowly on medium and stir it until the playdough thickens. Keeps best in the fridge in plastic containers. This is simular to the traditional playdough recipe.
This recipe takes less than 10 minutes.

Make Up

This morning Kambree asked me to take her potty, but before we went into the bathroom she had to have her make up and her purse. On the way in she put her lip gloss in her purse and said in a whispering voice..."shhhh mom, make up sleeping".

Also this morning there was a movie on TV and a little pig came on the screen she said "look a pig! Disdusding!" How does she know pigs are disgusting??

Love this silly girl! She is always making me laugh!

P.S. She is looking for an imaginary bra in my purse right now she looked up at me and said "Mom you know where my bra go?"

Little helper!

Kambree loves to help me. Every time I start doing dishes she pulls up her little stool and starts scrubbing away! It is so funny! She loves to help and says "I cleanin Mom". Anyways, today Kambree and I started doing the dishes then Kaden started crying so I turned off the water and took care of him. Kambree kept "cleanin" and when I came back to finish the job, all the dirty silverware that I put in the dishwasher were missing. I searched several places then I realized she put them away in the silverware drawer. I just love my little girl and her willingness to help!

Singing

During sacrament meeting on Sunday Kambree opened up the Hymn Book and sang out loud "I catch a nade for ya!" You know the song from Bruno Mars, Grenade. We really don't listen to the radio too much, just while we are cleaning or driving in the car. I am glad that nobody really noticed! Kambree knows more words to more songs than I even know. It is crazy how much this girl can remember.

Hair cut!

I was getting sick of Kambree's mullet so yesterday I decided to take her and Kaden in to get a cut at Great Clips. It was Kaden's first haircut so I brought my camera. What a joke that was! I didn't get one single picture! The girl who cut their hair was not kid friendly at all. Kambree screamed for like 5 minutes strait until another girl came over and started talking to Kambree. She calmed down just enough to quickly get it cut. By that time I was so done and ready to get out of there that I got no pictures of Kaden. He had just a quick trim. His hair was growing over his ears. He looks so stinking cute, and Kambree's hair looks a million times better! I will hopefully post pictures soon!

Where's your hair?

Every year just before summertime Brian gets to a point where he gets tired of his hair and shaves it off.
Every year...
never fails.
Anyways he shaved his head just a few weeks ago and last night Kambree was sitting next to him on the couch and she said to him
K-"Daddy, where'd your hair go?"
B- "I cut it off"
K-"You put your hair in the trash?"

Silly girl!

Easter Weekend

We went to California for Easter. We left Thursday after Brian got off at work. On Friday, Mom and Russ both had to work so we spent the day relaxing at the house. I was able to get most of the bookshelf done while they were gone.

When they got home we went to eat at a place called The Stinking Rose in Beverly Hills. It was so yummy! Everything there is made with garlic! Brian and my Mom love garlic! They were in garlic heaven!

Just take a look at our appetizer! See all that garlic?!? They roast it for 5 hours. It just spreads on the rolls like butter! Ammmmmazing!

For dessert we had garlic ice cream with caramel mole sauce. When you first take a bite it doesn't taste like garlic at all, but the after taste is so strong. It was crazy. But really good!

Trying to get Kambree to smile and hold still for a picture is impossible! Thanks for the yummy dinner Mom and Russ!! It was so fun and delish!!
Saturday we did some grocery shopping then the boys went home to play some video games and the girls got a pedicure! Outside the mall was a big wooden bear statue. Kambree loved the bear. After we took a few pictures and said bye to the bear Kambree says "the bear is cryin" and I am guessing she said that because we had to leave. Silly girl! That night we made dinner at home and played outside for a little bit. After dinner we colored our Easter eggs and had some Cinnabon!

Cody got a new drum set!

Sunday morning we had and Easter egg hunt.

We left Sunday after we had an early dinner. The food was so good. Thanks Mom! Leaving is never fun, wish we could have stayed a little longer with our family in that cool California weather.
