Moving...

So, the house that we are renting is going into foreclosure.
We have only been in here for almost 5 months and we have to move out.
They are trying to do a short sale before it forecloses so they put the house on the market yesterday.
We have already shown it 3 times!
The landlord said that we have about 3-4 months till we have to move, but I am getting scared that it is going to sell fast.
So, we are going to be moving up North for a little while.
ONLY IF Brian can transfer to a Costco up there.
Most Costco's aren't hiring so he has to call and talk to the warehouse managers to see if they would let him transfer.
I am crossing my fingers!!!
You cross yours too :)
Now if only we could find a place to live up there... house hunting sucks!

4th in California!

JULY 2nd....

So for the 4th of July weekend we went out to California to see my parents. The original plan was to leave early Thursday morning after Sam got off of work around 7, but Sam ended up getting off early in the morning at 3:00. So we got everything packed and went to bed for about an hour and then we woke up and picked up Sam, then we were on our way. Russ knew that we were leaving early, but my mom had no idea, so we decided to keep it a secret from her and surprise her at work. She was so surprised and happy to Kambree... and I think she was excited to see the rest of us too. haha j/k Mom! Anyways, the first day we were there, we decided to just go to the pool and relax (since we only got about and hour of sleep the night before)

JULY 3rd....
The next day we woke up early (thanks to Kambree) and we drove to Hollywood. We first ate at this place called Philippe's it has been there since 1908. Grandma Harward remembers eating there when she was a little girl. It had the best french dip sandwiches. After we ate, we drove around downtown L.A. then we drove the Walk of Fame, to see all the stars. Because of the weekend, it was so busy down there, but we did manage to get some pictures of stars!

We even got a picture of Michael Jacksons star.
It was so crowded, they had cops blocking it.

After the Walk of Fame, we decided to go and redeem Brian's birthday present from a place called I Fly. It's indoor skydiving at Universal Studios City Walk. We have some videos of it, but I am not quite sure how to upload them. You can see him flying on youtube...

JULY 4th...

On the morning of July 4th we went to a parade. No sleeping out at this parade to save a spot! It was a lot of fun! Kambree didn't even mind the sirens from the cop cars and fire trucks! On the walk back to the car, Kambree fell right to sleep. Watching all the people and floats wore her out!

After the parade we went over to a little strip mall by my parents house where they had music, food, and booths... but it was way too hot outside. We were all getting fried in the sun so we decided to go to the mall, and get frozen yogurt at Pink Berry, which is my new addiction! Good thing we don't have any in St. George! After we walked around the mall and ate our Pink Berry, we drove out to Santa Monica Beach. It was so nice to get out of the heat! Brian was boogie boarding the whole time. He loved it! Later after a lot of driving around by Venice Beach we went back to Santa Clarita to eat dinner and watch the firework show that they put on. The fireworks were good, but all I could watch was Kambree. They didn't bother her at all. Watching her reaction was my favorite part!
JULY 5th...
The 5th was our last day in Cali, we had to drive back that night. So during the day we went to a movie. About 20 minutes into the movie Kambree decided that she didn't want to sit and be good, so I took her out and we sat out on the couch till the movie was over. I didn't mind though cause I am a people watcher, and there were tons of people for me to watch :) We even saw Travis Barker and his wife walking to their movie! It was pretty cool!
Before we left Cali we had to get Pink Berry one more time at the mall. I am telling you guys, that place is amazing! We were sad to leave. Wished we could have stayed longer! We had a really good 4th of July, I am glad we spent it in California with my parents!

Footloose at Tuacahn

Since Sam works at a hotel and does a lot of business for Tuacahn, she gets free tickets to every show. Last night she set up a babysitter for Kambree, and gave her tickets to Footloose to Brian and I. The last time that Brian and I went out alone, just the 2 of us, with no Kambree was in November for my birthday. My parents babysat and gave us money to go out for the night. Anyways, it has been a really long time! 7 months! It was so fun to get out and the show was so good! I love being so close to Tuacahm, we have been to a show every year that we have been in St. George. Thanks Sam for setting up a date night for the 2 of us! We love you!

Smore's-n-more

*On fathers day we attempted to make a dutch oven the way that Chris and Tiffani did when we were at the cabin in Idaho. It was pretty good, not as good as Chris's but it was still good. For dessert we decided to make some smores. We don't have a fire pit so we decided to roast the marshmallows over the grill. But when we went outside there were so many cockroaches on the ground and the walls that Brian wouldn't go outside! He hates cockroaches! So instead of the grill Brian came up with the idea to use a lighter! Ghetto style!

*Kambree is crawling all over the house! She still isn't on her hands and knees yet, but she is getting pretty fast at doing the army crawl. She loves to crawl under her little activity center.

*Last night we spent $82.00 on one of our hundred dollar gift cards at Natural Grocers and I feel like we got nothing. We left with only 2 bags worth of stuff. A gallon of milk was $5.00! Free money is free money! We can't complain. Sleeping out was so worth it!
*Brian called the Brian Head Medical Center to find out how much left we owe them from when he dislocated his shoulder. They were talking for a minute and at the end of the conversation the guy told Brian that they would bring it to a zero balance since Brian was so nice to him. All the guy asked us to do is to write a letter to the GM at Brian Head and tell them how good the clinic was doing. I can do that... it saves us $150 to $200 dollars! We were so happy!

Natural Grocers

So a couple weeks ago in the mail I got a flier for the Grand Opening for a Natural Grocers which is a health food store. On the flier it said that the first 50 people get $100.00 gift certificate to their store, the next 50 got $50.00 and the next 400 got $25. We needed groceries so bad so I saved the flier and planned on waking up early that morning to get my $100.00. As the day got closer and closer people started talking about it, it seamed like everyone was going.
Even though I had already told him about it, Brian called me on Thursday super excited to tell me about this new store opening and he told me that we are going to sleep out Friday night so that we don't miss the gift card. (men listen so well) So we decided to go around 12:00 or 1:00 in the morning to reserve our spot.
Friday night came around and we were getting anxious so Brian decided to drive by to see if anyone was there yet. It was around 9:30 pm when he got there. He called and told me that there was a couple people, but as we were talking on the phone more and more people were driving up and getting out of their cars, so Brian decided to get in line before it got longer. So at this time I called my friends Chelsie and Matt who were already packed up and ready to go. They went to save the spot while Brian came to pick Kambree and I up along with some chairs, blankets, games, and even Karl. When we got there it was about 10:30 and there were about 20 people in line. I was relieved to know that we were for sure getting that hundred dollars! Sam met up with us and some of her friends. At first they weren't really planning on staying, but they since they were there, they decided to hop in line since they would for sure get that hundred dollars also. In the beginning it was pretty easy to stay awake, more and more people continued to come. The new people just getting there would come to the front and start counting to make sure that they were in the first 50 people. So many came to count us that I remember where we were in line. Matt, Chelsie, Brian and I were numbers 5, 6, 7 and 8 and Sam and her friends were 24, 25 and 26!

Kambree would not go to sleep. She fell asleep a couple times, but not for more than 10 minutes. There was just so much going on like the girls next to us playing slap jack and the man talking so loud all night long that the whole line could hear him. By the morning time, everyone was sick of him! Anyways, she wasn't fussy and she didn't cry, she just wouldn't sleep! Around 2:45 in the morning she was still awake and happy just getting attention from everybody! I decided that it was getting too late so I put her in the car and drove around for a little bit, after that she was out till about 6:00 am. She defiantly got the most sleep out of all of us!
I am not sure what time it was when Brian and I finally laid down but when we did, we didn't get much sleep, it started to rain. It was really more of a sprinkle. Anyways, it was an eventful long night! But when they opened the doors, I got $100, Brian got $100 and Samantha got $100.
$300.00 total for organic groceries!!

Brian's BIG catch!

On the morning of Brian's 25th birthday Brian and Chris decided to go out fishing one last time before we left the cabin. They were catching fish and putting them back in the water and when they were getting ready to leave Brian decided to cast out one more time. He caught a fish and the hook caught the fish right below its eye, so Brian was trying to get it out. As he was doing that the fish started to wiggle and his thumb got stuck with the other hook. It wasn't bad until the fish started to wiggle some more and it went deeper and deeper into his thumb. They came home and Grandpa drove Brian down to Ashton, Idaho to a medical center which was about 30 minutes away. The hook was too deep to just push through so the doctor had to make an incision and pull it out. In the end, his thumb got a band aid, we saved the hook, and the fish, well... he got put in the freezer till someone gets hungry! Not the best way to start out his birthday! We have decided that Brian's has bad luck when he goes fishing with Chris!

These were the fish that Brian and Chris had caught a couple days before. We cooked them up for lunch! I don't eat fish, so I didn't try them but everyone said that they were really meaty and good! Brian's fish was 16'' and Chris's was 18''.
