Park Days

Our ward started weekly park days. I love it because our ward is growing so big so fast, it is a great way to get to know other people. It is also great for Kambree. She is finally coming out of her shell and making friends. Last week we did an egg hunt at the park! The kids loved it!

Of coarse no pictures of the 2 of them looking at the camera!

Kambree and her friend Kimber

Kambree loved the teeter totter. She stayed on and her friends would just rotate when they got bored of it.

My babies!

While we were painting our master bathroom a couple weeks ago we put in a movie for the kids to watch. They were so good for about half the movie, then they went crazy which made it impossible for us to paint!  We never let the dog on our bed, but Kambree insisted that Roxie lay by them. What ever makes them happy and quiet!

A Fun House!

Can I just say how much I absolutely hate painting! I mostly hate getting everything prepared before painting! I have never really painted a room before we bought our house. I thought it was as easy as buying the paint, rolling it on, and letting dry. I soon realized that it is not so easy. Taping, covering, removing switch plates, priming, drying, painting, edging, more drying, and clean up. Ugh! What a chore! Next time we are hiring someone, or next time we should buy a house that doesn't look like a fun house! Here are a few pictures before we started painting our house. We got most of it painted before we moved in. We only have 2 more bathrooms to finish. But seriously, these people went a little crazy with the paint! Isn't it funny how they painted around big furniture! Anyways, one of our most favorite things about this house is the view! The picture I have doesn't give it justice. We can lay in bed at night and see the whole city out the sliding door. We just love it... guess it was worth all the painting we had to do! Soon I will be posting the after pictures.

Bradlee turned 14 on St. Patricks Day. They celebrated his birthday over that weekend. Lots of yummy food and cake!

Picnic

This weather has been so amazing! My allergies have been out of control, but I still love it! The past couple weeks the kids have been outside non stop. They go out there first thing in the morning with their jammies on and I have to beg them to come in and eat breakfast then again later for lunch. I was getting tired of begging them to come inside and eat so I finally just brought Kambree's little table outside and let them have picnics. They love it, and Kambree actually eats her food while she is out there!

A few things...

first- It is the weirdest thing to see kids, that I used to babysit when I was in high school, at the store with all their friends, or with their boyfriend or girlfriend, and driving cars! Where did the time go? I feel like I am still in my early 20's but whenever I see kids that I used to babysit, it reminds me that I am only a few years away from being in my 30's! Ugh! I feel so old!

second- Why can't my clothes be as cheap as my kids?? At Old Navy today I bought 2 shirts for Kaden, 2 shirts and a pair of shoes for Kambree, and I only spend $26.00. I bought a shirt for me at the same place a few weeks ago that cost $29.00! Just one shirt! I spent less on them and got more. I know it takes less fabric for kids clothes, but seriously... not fair!

third- (last one I promise!) Tonight is daylight savings! I HATE "spring ahead!". I would much rather it be "fall back" every time) Seriously though, tomorrow is going to be a big joke trying to get to church on time! In January our ward moved to 9:00 am and I think that we have been on time maybe 3 times, (on time for us means anytime before they shut the doors for the sacrament! Sad I know!) every other time we are sitting out in the foyer taking the sacrament! Ugh! Maybe I should stop complaining about things and got to bed so we can again attempt to be on time for church. Wish us luck!

Girls

Mom: Kambree please pick up your toys. Kambree: No Mom, I am a girl and girls don't pick up toys. Kaden is a boy, he can do it! Mom:....speechless..... trying not to laugh.

Fun with Daddy

Brian was cleaing up the kitchen (such a good husband, I know!) and he called Kambree over. A couple minutes later Kambree came over to me with this paper bag on her head. He does the most random things sometimes! Kambree loves it!

UNLV

On Saturday we went to the final game of the season.

We already can't wait till next year!

CTR Pretzel Recipe

Here is the recipe for the CTR pretzels. We dipped ours in spaghetti sauce from a jar and some ranch. Sorry I didn't post sooner! Enjoy!

CTR Pretzels

1 teaspoon salt
2½–3 cups flour
1 tablespoon yeast
1 cup warm water
1 tablespoon sugar
melted butter

1. Mix the first five ingredients until they form a ball. Then knead dough until smooth and elastic. Cover with a clean towel and let rise in a warm place for one hour.

2. Pull off sections of the dough and roll into long ropes. Form the ropes into the letters “CTR” or make the shape of the CTR shield.

3. Put the pretzels on a greased cookie sheet and bake 8–10 minutes at 450°F (232°C). Brush pretzels with melted butter.

Daddy's work

The other day we met up with Brian for lunch. Kambree loves when we get to see him while he is working. She loves that he drives a truck and whenever we are out running errands she is on the look out for him. We love daddy and are grateful for the hard work he does to support our family!

Frames

I found these ugly frames at DI for $1.50 each. I painted them white and then added a picture of Kambree and Kaden. Aren't they cute! They are hanging in our master bedroom. I just love how they turned out! Even more, I love how cheap they were!

CTR

In one The Friend Magazines was a recipe for CTR pretzels. Every time Kambree looked through it and saw the picture of the pretzels she asked me if we could make them. So we finally did. They were pretty easy to make and so yummy!

Observer

Roxie loves to sit on the balcony and watch all the cars and people. She could sit out there for hours if I let her. I don't blame her, we have an awesome view!

Clean!

I just love clean babies!
