Daddy's work

The other day we met up with Brian for lunch. Kambree loves when we get to see him while he is working. She loves that he drives a truck and whenever we are out running errands she is on the look out for him. We love daddy and are grateful for the hard work he does to support our family!

Frames

I found these ugly frames at DI for $1.50 each. I painted them white and then added a picture of Kambree and Kaden. Aren't they cute! They are hanging in our master bedroom. I just love how they turned out! Even more, I love how cheap they were!

CTR

In one The Friend Magazines was a recipe for CTR pretzels. Every time Kambree looked through it and saw the picture of the pretzels she asked me if we could make them. So we finally did. They were pretty easy to make and so yummy!

Observer

Roxie loves to sit on the balcony and watch all the cars and people. She could sit out there for hours if I let her. I don't blame her, we have an awesome view!

Clean!

I just love clean babies!

I was bored with it...

so I chopped it! I have been wanting to go short for a while. It has been about 6 or 7 years since my hair has been super short. I loved having short hair so I said why not! Now I am wondering if I regret it! I don't know... what do you think? p.s. can I just say I hate taking pictures of myself! and don't mind my ugly bathroom!

Baby lotion...

Kambree and Kaden got into the baby lotion about 15 minutes before we were about to walk out the door to go grocery shopping. There was so much lotion on Kaden's head that I had to put him back in the bath. It's always one mess after another!

Guilty!

There is no hiding it, I have the proof. Kaden likes to throw his food down for the dogs. The other day it was oatmeal. No wonder those dogs come running over when they see me put Kaden in the highchair!

We're going into attic mode guys!

I think I have watched Toy Story 3 at least a million times, so I am sorry for the silly title. It's just the first thing that popped into my head. Brian had to check out our furnace since the heat wouldn't come on down stairs. Kambree so badly wanted to see what was up in the attic so I lifted her up to help daddy!

Stuff...

Ever since I made the blog private I have had people who have been invited tell me that they can't get on my blog. So I re invite them and then a couple weeks later they say that they can't get on again. Anyways, to make it easier I just made it public again, but I hope there are no creepers out there viewing my blog.

This last week was so fun! Brian and I got out of the house 3 different nights with no kids! It was well needed and so nice to spend time together! Wednesday and Saturday we went to the Rebel games, which is always a lot of fun. Friday we went with some friends to see Zac Brown Band. I knew about 4 songs, but wish I knew more! Such a good band! During the show he talked about Camp Southern Ground which is a camp in Georgia for kids with Autism, Aspergers, ADHD and other social disorders. I got a little teary eyed and thought of Cody! I miss him and wish all my family lived closer. Two guys from the band did an awesome drum solo, they used 3 different sets of drums and all I could think about is how much Cody would love to watch them play the drums. He loves to listen and play the drums! I am so grateful for Amanda and Melissa for watching the kids those 3 nights. The kids loved having them over to play!

Over the past 3 weeks we have all had turns being sick. It all started with the kids and I. All 3 of us were sick with some 48 hour flu. It was awful! Brian called into work to take care of the 3 of us, then right after we were all better then he got sick! He was pretty bad. He was so dehydrated that was having muscle spasms, and his lips were turning blue. He looked like he was dying! I was about to take him to the ER, but he said he wanted a blessing first. So Brian's Dad and our friend Justin came over and gave Brian a blessing. After the blessing he was able to hold some fluids down and get some rest. I am so grateful that both Brian's dad and Justin stopped what they were doing to come and give him a blessing. After everything was back to normal Kambree started saying that she wasn't feeling good and when I checked her, she had a fever of 103! Her fever was off and on for 3 days, and it even got up to 105. Poor girl! Once she was feeling better Brian started getting a bad cough. The first night it started we both had the worst sleep because of his coughing. We were out of cough medicine so I had him take a hand towel and pour rubbing alcohol on it and then had him lay it around his neck. It's an old wives tale that my cousin Tiffani told me about and it works! Seriously, he immediately stopped coughing! Anyways, he has had this for about a week, and now this morning Kaden woke up with a fever of 102. He is so fussy and wont eat anything. Poor guy! After he gets better I am going to sanitize this house from top to bottom and just pray that we are all done getting sick!

I have had a few different friends ask me how to make baby/little girl hair bows, so I decided to have a little class at my house on Friday. It is at 4:30 and anybody is welcome to come just text or message me and I will give you the info.

Well that's all I can think of for now, I am sure there will be more later! :)

Not ashamed!

It's no secret that I love to shop at D.I., you can maybe even call me an addict! When we lived in Utah it was always so close, but now that we live in Las Vegas, a trip to D.I. is at least 20 minutes from our house. So every time I have to make a trip to Costco, I make sure to drive over to D.I. since it is kinda in the same area. Anyways, I usually buy pieces of furniture, frames, decorations, lamps, books, and I am not even ashamed to say that I buy clothes and shoes there. I know it smells a little funny when you walk in, and buying somebodies used clothes or junk is kinda weird, but we have all heard the saying one mans junk is another mans treasure! I love to go on a hunt for treasure! You never know what you might come across! Today I went in with something very specific in mind... clothes for Kaden. He is growing so much that I am having a hard time keeping up with him! His jeans are now high waders and I needed some that actually fit. I think I did pretty good today! Here is what I found...(sorry for the picture quality, the lighting in my room was horrible.)

The shorts on the left are from DKNY and I swear they have never been worn. They are 4T so it will be a while before he can wear them, but I couldn't pass them up! The 2 pairs of jeans are from Old Navy. The 3 pairs each cost $3.00. Who can beat that!?!

I found a Chaps dress shirt for church and a brand new polo from Children's Place. Each $3.00.
I also found this way cute jacket from old navy for only $4.00.

I couldn't leave Kambree out! I found her a pair of Gap jeans for $3.00!

Grand total... $22.00 for all those clothes! The brand new shirt with the original tag was worth $12.50! I will just throw them all in the wash and it's like they are all brand new! I am not ashamed to shop for clothes at D.I.! I Think you would be crazy not to!

My little helper!

Kambree loves to help out as much as she can with the dogs! The other day, as I was switching over laundry, Kambree walks in and says "Mom, I fed Roxie. Don't worry it's okay." The second she said "it's okay", I knew that it wasn't. I went to check out the damage and found that Kambree had made Roxie soup from dog food and water! What a great helper! Roxie loved it!

Kambree and Lexie!

I am watching Lexie today since her other babysitter is sick. Isn't this a cute picture of Kambree and Lexie reading!

New Years Eve

For the last 3 years we have been making home made donuts on New Years Eve. This year the donuts are the only things I took a picture of! It is a fun tradition, and they are super yummy! We hung out at our house with Brian's family. They kids were in bed at their usual times and I barely made it till midnight. We watched all the fireworks from our balcony then we went strait to bed. Our church time changed this year from 1:00 to 9:00. I am excited about 9:00, but staying up till midnight the night before then waking up at 7:00 to get ready for church... it killed me! We were so tired! We all came home from church and took a nap, it was amazing! Speaking of church, it was Kambree's first day as a Sunbeam! No longer in Nursery! She was pretty nervous about Sunbeams, but she did great! Seriously though, I can't believe how quickly time flies! She is growing up too quick!

Roxy!

We adopted a dog. She is a 6 month old Boxer/Mastiff mix. We named her Roxy. She is the sweetest dog ever! She is so good with the kids, they absolutely love her! She also gets along well with Karl. She is the perfect addition to our family! She seriously is the best dog! We are super lucky and we just love her to pieces! After we picked her up we took her to Brian's parents to show her off. She played so much at their house that she fell asleep on Kaden during the ride home. So cute!
