Fridge

Let me just add to the last post... I just opened my fridge and found shoes! Kambree put one of my heels and one of Brian's flip flops on the bottom shelf of the fridge. She is obsessed!

Miss Kambree

Kambree loves the fridge, I can't keep her out of there. Any chance that she gets she runs into the kitchen and plays in the fridge. Anyways, she decided to keep herself busy while I was pumping in my room the other day. This is what she did....
Also another day I was pumping my milk I did one side and put the milk in a cup in the fridge until I finished the other side so I could freeze all of the milk. Anyways, Kambree again wandered into the kitchen and got the cup of my breast milk out of the fridge and brought into my room where I was pumping. She said "watch" and took a drink of it! Then she said "oh, it's spicy". This girl makes me laugh! She is so silly! Lets just say that we are on the hunt for a refrigerator lock this weekend!!

Kaden's Story!

It all started Sunday morning. Brian, Kambree and I woke up and drove to Brian's parents to have a yummy breakfast and watch conference with them. About 10:30 is when my contractions started and from there on they were about 10 minutes apart.
After about 2 hours of constant contractions I called my mom to let her know. They of coarse started packing their bags to drive out to Vegas. I didn't feel ready at all, I didn't have my hospital bag ready or any of his clothes washed. I was feeling so anxious so I drove home to get some things ready while Kambree and Brian stayed at his parents. After walking around and doing things around the apartment I noticed that my contractions weren't as constant as before. On my way back to Brian's parents, I called my mom and they were already on the road. They told me that my mom was planning on staying at our house for the week to help out after the baby comes. I started feeling nervous about my parents coming because my contractions weren't regular anymore. I didn't want them to drive all the way out here for nothing! After I told my mom she sent me a text that said 'Now would be a good time for Castor Oil'. Ahhh! I heard so many horror stories about drinking that stuff. I didn't want to take any! I waited a couple hours and got in a long hot shower, got ready, and did my hair. I was still having contractions but they just weren't progressing so Brian and I decided he should go to the store and get some Castor Oil and orange juice. We thought it would hurry up the process. I took it and it worked!! Let me tell you though, that stuff was DISGUSTING! The thought of it makes me want to gag! The directions said I could take up to 4 Tbsp. I just took 1 Tbsp because I was afraid of being on the toilet all night. It was only about an hour later around 10 pm, my parents had just gotten here and I was in the bathroom. I wasn't on the toilet though, I was hugging the toilet. The oil had made me so sick that I threw up everything I had eaten that day! Ugh it was so bad! I felt so sick that I didn't even feel like visiting so I went to my room and laid down. I was asleep for only about an hour and a half before I woke up in the worst pain! I started timing my contractions, they were about 2 minutes apart. They were awful! Brian went in and woke up my mom and Russ. We were all sitting in my room, on my bed timing my contractions and deciding when I should go into the hospital. After about a half and hour my Mom, Brian, and I grabbed everything and headed to labor and delivery. Russ stayed with Kambree at home and they slept through the night. It was about 12:30 when we got there. After grabbing the bags, walking to the car and driving to the hospital the pain that was coming with the contractions had gone away. On the Baby Story most of the moms go to the hospital yelling and screaming in pain. I was positive as we were walking into the hospital that they were going to reject me and send me home because I wasn't in pain anymore. They got me in a bed and checked me. I was 3 cm and 70% effaced. They admitted me! I wasn't a reject! I was so excited to know that I was going to have this baby in the next 24 hours. Once I was in my room and hooked up to an IV and monitors, I thought this wont take very long. I was wrong! I was in labor for 15 hours! It seemed like I was at 6 cm forever! Around mid-morning I finally started making progress. Then around 2 o'clock I was at 10 cm! Once my Doctor got there it took 3 pushes and my sweet little baby Kaden was in my arms!

Fortune Cookie

On Saturday afternoon Brian and I ate lunch at Panda Express and this was Brian's fortune....

We thought it was pretty cool! I can't wait until we get to meet our little miracle!

Ready or Not...

here he comes! I went to the doctor yesterday and he said that I am 1 cm and 50% effaced. I was expecting to not be dilated or effaced at all, so that was exciting news for me! Not sure if I am going to make it to my inducement date which is October 15th. I am still hoping that he comes on 10/10/10 since Kambree was born on 11/11. We'll see what happens. Either way, he will be here in the next couple weeks! I can't wait!

Petza!

Last night Kambree went over to Brian's parents so we could get some things done and ready around the house for the baby. They took her to Ihop for dinner so while she was gone, I put a frozen pizza in the oven for Brian and I. Anyways, today for lunch I got the left over pizza out and warmed up a piece for Kambree and when she saw it she sucked her breath in and covered her mouth with excitement and yelled "Petza"! I am not sure when she learned that word, cause we don't have pizza very often, but she was so excited for her Petza!

The other day Kambree had a little owie on her thigh. I am not sure how she got it, but it was really tiny like the tip of a pen. She came up to me grabbed my finger and said "Mom, touch". She kept having me touch it over and over. Then with my finger I just scratched off the scab and it started bleeding a tiny bit. She looked at me and sucked in a bunch of air and said "It's broken!". She then walked around pointing to her owie saying "It's broken, it's broken". I am not sure where she got it from, but I thought it was pretty cute!

Gilcrease Orchards

We went to the Gilcrease Orchards last Saturday. Kambree loved it! She isn't afraid to get dirty! The veggies we got from the orchard and the apples came from Great Grandma and Grandpa Graham's apple tree! Apple pie anyone??

Kambree

This is a video of Kambree shopping over the 4th of July weekend. Wonder where she got this from! ;)

Another Update

* 35 days and counting! I am 35 weeks today. Now that I think back, this time has gone by kinda fast. I can't believe that in just a few more weeks I will be able to hold our baby Kaden! During my first pregnancy I was nervous because of the unknown. I didn't know what to expect during delivery. Now I am nervous because I do know what to expect. ahhh. I guess you can say that things didn't go smoothly. I am really hoping that this delivery will be better. Either way, I can't wait to see him!

*Last Saturday I ended up going to the hospital. When I woke up Saturday morning, I noticed that I was spotting. I never spotted with Kambree, so not knowing weather I should worry or not I called the doctors office. I only got the machine since they were closed but it said if you are over 20 weeks and have any medical situation to then go to labor and delivery. Still not sure weather I should go in or not, I called my mom and she told me to lay down and watch it for a couple hours and if I still had any spotting then I should go in. So after laying down for a while, I still had it, so Brian and I decided to go in to make sure everything was okay. We got there and they got me right into a bed and hooked up to all the monitors and after a quick look at me they said that it was normal and everything was okay. The doctor has me taking children's aspirin and calcium everyday which is supposed to help prevent preclampsia. I have been taking them since I was about 3 months pregnant. The nurse said that the aspirin is a blood thinner which probably caused me to spot a little. I was in there for literally only an hour. Even though we get a new hospital bill, I am glad that I went in to get checked. Better safe than sorry right? I am just glad that I have a healthy baby boy in there!

*Kambree is growing like a weed! I put some jeans on her the other day and they were floods. Where did this girl get her height from? It wasn't me! She also started complaining that her shoes hurt. So I decided the other day to go buy her a few new clothes and shoes before the baby comes and I don't have time. When we were in the shoe department at Kohls, I grabbed a bunch for her to try on. Including some shoes called "twinkle toes" they are by Sketchers. I knew that I wasn't going to buy them because they were $30. I might be kinda cheap, but spending $30 on a pair of shoes for a girl who is growing like crazy, is crazy! Anyways, I tried on all these shoes on her and either I or Kambree didn't like any of them. So before we left I put the twinkle toes on her just to see. BAD IDEA! She loved them. I couldn't get them off of her. When I tried she would run from me. She would crouch down and look at the shoes in the mirror under the bench and say "Hi shoes!". They have lights on them so she kept jumping to watch the lights. It was kinda fun watching her, she was so cute! The girl knows what she likes! I wouldn't call myself weak, but I did end up buying them. I think that anybody that was in my situation would have bought the shoes for her also! (to make myself feel better I bought them in a size up so she can grow into them!) This girl has some bad shopping habits already!
I think I am in trouble!

Update

* We have 2 cars again! Brian's car has been broke down for almost a full year! It has been hard but we made it work. We are so grateful that the car needed less work than we originally thought! The mechanic says that we got really lucky! The timing couldn't be better either because the closer I get to my due date the more doctor appointments I have. I am so grateful!

* I was able to take Karl to get washed and cut! His hair was getting long and he was so stinky! Not only are we all happy he is clean, but I think that he is happier too! He seriously looked like a mutt! * I will be 33 weeks this Friday! I feel like he is trying to kick his way out early! Kambree moved around a lot in my belly but Kaden kicks me to the point that it actually hurts! It has been a while since I have read the book but I feel like Bella did when her baby was kicking her stomach so hard that she got bruises. Seriously can't wait until I get to hold my little baby boy!

*I wish that I had an update about potty training. It has pretty much come to a standstill. She isn't really interested in going in the potty anymore. I try to let her sit on the potty when I know she is about to go, but she just holds it and would rather just play in her room with her toys. I have tried getting her excited with candy and stuff, but she just doesn't care anymore. Not sure what to do or if there is anything that I can do except to just wait. Any suggestions??

* By the way, Sam only has 9 more months left! Can't wait until she gets home!

Dog food!

The other day I walked into the kitchen to find Kambree's stuffed dog eating out of Karl's food bowl. I am so glad that she likes to take care of her animals! She is so silly!

Cupcakes!

Yesterday Kambree and I made cupcakes for Great Grandma Grahams Birthday. I put a chair up in the kitchen for Kambree to watch. She loved it. While I was making the frosting, I turned to grab a spatula and when I turned back she was sticking her little fingers in the frosting to eat! She kept saying "bite, bite, bite, PEASE!". After I would give her a bite she would say "MORE!". I think she is a little sugar addict! After we were all done with the frosting I gave her the beater to lick. She was such a mess I had to take her right into the shower!

Brian's little BIG friend!

We are finally settled into our new apartment! Yay! It is a little small, but we are excited to be in our own place again, and I am sure Brian's parents are grateful to have peace and quiet again in their house!

About a week after we moved in, Brian opened the sliding door and in flew a huge bug. It was a grass hopper! It landed in the corner of our front room behind the couch. Brian started freaking out! So, after about 15 minutes of standing on the couch and this grasshopper jumping out at Brian, he was finally able to kill it! It was a battle and it was so funny watching Brian. He is okay with spiders but when it comes to anything else like cockroaches or big green grasshoppers, he gets pretty freaked out! Lets just say he had a major case of the heabie jeabies the rest of that night!

Potty Training

We started potty training earlier this week. She might be a little young to start but she always tells me when she pooped. I figure that if she can tell me after she poops, then I can probably teach her how to tell me before she poops. Anyways, we bought her a little potty and she loves it. She hasn't gone potty in it yet but she loves to sit on it. Well tonight I caught her trying to go potty like a boy. Brian took her in the men's room to change her diaper because the table in the woman's room was being used. Brian said that she was so interested in what the men were doing at the urinals. He was trying to get her attention to look somewhere else but all she wanted to do was stare at them. I took some pictures of her tonight. There was only one that she is covered up enough to post. This potty training this is much more difficult than I thought it would be!!
